For over twenty-five years, we have been making tracheostomy cannulae for all medical needs. Thanks to patient-oriented engineering, superior manufacturing processes and a global after-sales service, Shiley tracheostomy cannulae have earned the trust and respect of health care Clinicians worldwide. Highest manufacturing standards are applied and every tracheostomy cannula is inspected for maximum quality assurance. The result is a technically perfect and reliable product suitable for virtually every type of use.
Thanks to the excellent design of the tube and inner cannula as well as the soft swivel flange, both patients and staff benefit from greater safety and utmost comfort. If anatomical conditions make standard cannulae unusable, we are able to supply products made to specific patient requirements (click here for brochure with details). Covidien's range of endobronchial tubes are designed for differential lung ventilation during thoracic surgery & intensive care. The special product design and high quality finish provide maximum patient safety.
Broncho-Cath™ Right
For right-sided endobronchial intubation when differential or one-lung ventilation is indicated during thoracic surgery or intensive care.
Broncho-Cath™ Left
Broncho-Cath™ Left with Carinal Hook
For left-sided endobronchial intubation when differential or one-lung ventilation is indicated during thoracic surgery or intensive care.

The method of choice for long term ventilated patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Features and Benefits
Unique dilating tracheostomy tube creates an optimim-fit stoma, minimising the risk of infection.
PatientsRepeated endotracheal suctioning performed with conventional disposable catheters involves disconnection of the patient from the ventilator a procedure which is not without complications and risks.
Especially in patients depending on high PEEP levels or suffering from haemodynamic instability, interruption of ventilation can lead to:
Ty-Care* and Ty-Care*exel are designed to remain part of the breathing system during suctioning without disconnecting ventilatory support and thus maintaining respiratory parameters.Open suctioning exposes both the patient and the hospital staff to the risk of crosscontamination.
Ty-Care* and Ty-Care*exel closed suction systems protect patient ’s airway from environmental pathogens and prevents hospital staff to be exposed to aerosolized germs expelled by the patient as during open suctioning.
Thanks to its sleeved suction catheter Ty-Care and Ty-Care exel limit environmental, hospital staff and patient contamination. This is particularly important by infective and immunodepressed patients. Ty-Care* and Ty-Care*exel are cost-effective and easy to use allowing one-user suctioning procedures and reducing daily consumption of single use material.
The COMBITUBE is designed to establish an airway in difficult and emergency situations. Achieve rapid intubation and effective ventilation during surgery, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the intensive care unit. Ideal for all areas of the hospital and pre-hospital care for emergency airway management, including 'crash trolleys', Theatres, Obstetrics and the Emergency Services.

When Seconds Count!
Aspiration System The Hi-lo™ EVAC tracheal and tracheostomy tubes have an additional lumen, integrated into the wall of the tubes which ends in a dorsal opening proximal to the cuff. This is indicated for evacuation or drainage of secretions that may have accumulated in the subglottic space during long term intubation. The Aspiration System once attached to the lumen allows for continuous aspiration or intermittent suctioning of these secretions.
IMPORTANT: Use of the EVAC does not reduce / eliminate the requirements for other suctioning usually performed such as tracheal / bronchial, oral cavity etc.
An effective treatment in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
